A college graduate is told that the average salary in his field of choice is over $40,000.

He asked to see the data which would back up this statement.  He was given the following five salaries from a local company:

  • Employee A:  $27,000

  • Employee B:  $30,000

  • Employee C:  $28,000

  • Employee D:  $98,000

  • Employee E:  $27,500

Calculate the mean, median, mode and range of these salaries.

He then found out that Employee D is a manager!  Find the mean, median mode and range now without the manager's salary.
