Let's do some adding and subtraction problems, using fractions!

#1: Lisa bought two different types of material to make curtains. The length of the first material was 30½ inches and the length of the second was 36¼ inches .   How much material did she buy?

#2: Philip drank 2¼ cups of milk for breakfast.  If it drinks 1 ⅛ cups of milk for lunch, how much milk did he drink all together?

#3: On Monday, Mary walked 2 ⅞ miles and Don walked
1 ¾  miles. How much further did Mary walk than Don?
