Answer the following questions.
In math you can explain a mathematical statement using oral, written, concrete, pictorial, or graphical forms.

An adult ticket costs $ 12.  A child's ticket costs half the amount.  Darrel buys 2 adult tickets and 3 children tickets.  How much did he spend?

 

 

The Smith's began their trip with 70 liters of gasoline in their car. They used 53 liters of gasoline. How much gasoline was left in the tank?

 

 

The bus is making its first stop at Bridge Street.  Three people got on the bus at Bridge Street.  At the next stop, 10 people got on the bus and 5 people got off.  How many people were on the bus?

 

 

Ali is twice as old as Cindy.  Cindy is 5 years older than Wendy.  Wendy is 4 years old. 
How old is Ali?

 

 

There are 20 students in Mrs. Freebern's class. At lunch, 7 students drank only milk, and 9 students drank only juice. How many students drank neither?
