A circle graph presents the division of a total amount of data.

How can you use a circle graph?

You can use a circle graph to show how a whole is divided into fractional parts.

  • When making a circle graph it is important to make sure that the size you make each piece is accurate to the number.
  • The greater the value of the data, the wider the wedge that represents the value.

What does a Circle Graph look like?

1. It is easy to read the amount of data for each item.
2.  It is easy to tell the greatest and least amount of data by looking at the graph.
3.  A circle graph is great to use when comparing data.

1.  Sometimes the answers to a circle graph are answered as fractions.  Fractions can be difficult for some people.
2. A disadvantage with the circle graph is that percentage is difficult for some people to work with.
3. When making a circle graph it is hard to make the pieces exactly the correct size.
