A Fraction can EXPAND
by increasing
the numerator and denominator
by their given amounts.

Example 1:

The fraction is  3/5

To expand---
simply continue to ADD 3 on top,
and ADD 5 on the bottom of the fraction.

 3/5 + 3/5 = 6/10 + 3/5 = 9/15

So 3/5 can be EXPANDED to  6/10,  9/15  and so on....

Example 2:

The fraction is  1/6

To expand---
simply continue to ADD 1 on top,
and ADD 6 on the bottom of the fraction.

 1/6 + 1/6 = 2/12 + 1/6 = 3/18

So 1/6 can be EXPANDED to  2/12,  3/18  and so on....

Example 3:

The fraction is  5/11

To expand---
simply continue to ADD 5 on top,
and ADD 11 on the bottom of the fraction.

 5/11 + 5/11 = 10/22 + 5/11 = 15/33

So 5/11 can be EXPANDED to  10/22,  15/33  and so on....

Upon further review:

To EXPAND a fraction
simply continue to
ADD the numerator and
ADD the denominator
by the number they started with

Think:
"Add on the TOP, Add on the BOTTOM"
