A slide is a movement of a figure along a line.

Can you slide a figure in any direction?

Yes; You can move a figure
left or right (arrow),
up or down (arrow),
or diagonally along a line (arrow).

 

Kevin's teacher asked him to make a left or right slide movement using triangles.

Kevin's answer:

How did Kevin move the triangle to make the pattern?
He made the pattern by continually moving the triangle right horizontally.

 

Kevin's teacher asked him to make a diagonal slide movement using triangles.

Kevin's answer:

How did Kevin move the triangle to make the pattern?
He made the pattern by moving the triangle diagonally.

 

Kevin's teacher asked him to make an up or down slide movement using triangles.

Kevin's answer:

How did Kevin move the triangle to make the pattern?
He made the pattern by moving the triangle up and down.
