A stem-and-leaf diagram is a graph that shows the shape of the data according to the data place values.
The "leaf" of a number is usually the last digit in a number.
The "stem" is the remaining digit or digits to the left.

What was the highest temperature in Oswego?
Look at the stem part of the diagram and find the highest number.
The highest number in the stem is 10.
Look across to the leaf and make your number. 
The highest temperature in Oswego was 101.
