Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles

Congruent triangles are triangles that have vertices that can be matched up so that the corresponding parts (angles and sides) are the same.
 


Triangle 1 fits exactly over triangle 2, this makes
the two triangles congruent.

In congruent triangles the corresponding parts (angles and sides) are congruent.

Angle A - Angle D

Segment AB - Segment DE

Angle B - Angle E

Segment BC - Segment EF

Angle C - Angle F

Segment AC - Segment DF

 

Remember: The corresponding parts of a triangle are congruent.
