The
book focuses on fractions, starting with basic fractions
and then moving on to more advanced concepts such as
equivalent fractions, reduced fractions, and addition with
fractions.
Read the book to your class following a basic lesson on
fractions. Give the students a bag of skittles and have
them open it. Place the five colors in a circle. Have
them share one fifth of the Skittles by giving one to a
friend. There are more activities the students can do as
you reread the part on fractions.
