Volume is the amount of space an object takes up.

The volume of a space figure is the number of
cubic units the figure contains.

You can count the cubes to find the volume of a space figure.
	1 cubic centimeter
	2 cubic centimeters

Find the cubic measure of each figure by counting the cubes.
Example One:
By counting the cubes you can see that there are 6 cubes.	Volume = 6 cubic centimeters

Find the cubic measure of each figure by counting the cubes.

Example Two:

By counting the cubes you can see that there are 10 cubes.

Volume = 10 cubic centimeters
