Let's look at contractions using
will
, have and is.

Sometimes an apostrophe(') takes the place of more than one letter like in will and have.
It can also replace one letter like in
is.



 

she + will = she'll 
we + have = we've
there + is = there's



 

           Contractions using will:                        

he + will = he'll  the wi  in will is replaced with an apostrophe (').
you +
will = you'll the wi in will is replaced with an apostrophe (').
we, they, who and I are also contractions that can be made using will.

Contractions using have:

I + have = I've the ha in have is replaced with an apostrophe (').
they +
have = they've the ha in have is replaced with an apostrophe (').
would, should, could, you, and might are also contractions that can be made using have.
