The Atlantic bottlenose dolphins have a long, beaklike snout, a dorsal fin, and sharp teeth. They are toothed whales and have one blowhole. Dolphins breathe air at the surface of the water through a single blowhole located near the top of the head. They need to breathe about every 2 minutes, but can hold their breath for several minutes. Their blow is a single, explosive cloud. These dolphins live in groups called pods. The bottlenose dolphin grows to be at most 12 feet long, sometimes weighing more than 1,400 pounds.  Bottlenose dolphins have a  life span of about 25 years.

The blue whale has a small, falcate dorsal fin that is located near the flukes.  The blue whale has about 320 pairs of black baleen plates with dark gray bristles in the blue whale's jaws.  The blue whales have 2 blowholes. Blue whales breathe air at the surface of the water through the two blowholes located near the top of the head.  They need to breathe 1-4 times per minute.  Their blow is a single stream. These whales live in groups called pods.  Blue whales grow to be about 80 feet long and weigh about 120 tons. Blue whales have a life span of 35 - 40 years.
