What is reading fluency?

Fluency
is the ability to read text accurately and quickly.

That means that you can read without mistakes and
read with expression in your voice.

     Why is fluency important?

When you read with fluency, you will have a better

                You will be able to:
                     predict what will happen next
create questions about the main idea, message,
                        and plot
                     understand the sequence and characters
clarify any parts that might seem confusing
                     make connections

          How can you improve fluency?
Read a text more than once.
                 Read aloud with a partner.
                 Record yourself reading,
and listen to how you sound.
