1.  Do you know the meaning of the word?

Choose:

CVC    CVVC    CVCe    VCCV

 

 

 

2.  He used a hammer to build the house.
Choose: 

CVC      CVVC   CVCe   VCCV

 

3. You should do your homework each night.
Choose: 

CVC     CVCe       CVVC   

 

4. We made popcorn for a snack.

 

 

CVVC     CVCe       CVC   

    

 

5. We strained the macaroni. 

 

Choose:

Remember:  CVC words - The vowel is often a short sound.

CVCe words - The e is silent and the vowel before the e is a long sound.

CVVC words - Pronounce the long sound of the first vowel.
