I love to read!

Reading tall tales, fairy tales, and chapter books can be a lot of fun!

Do you know how these genres are different? Let's learn a little bit about them.

What is a Tall Tale?

Tall tales are stories that have been written and told through history. They have a special kind of hero who is "larger than life." This means they are bigger or stronger than real people, or do things that real people can't do. Their actions are exaggerated and outrageous. The heroes in tall tales solve problems in ways that may be funny and hard to believe. They tell why something happens.

What is a Fairy Tale?

Fairy tales are fictional stories that usually feature characters such as fairies, goblins, elves, giants, witches, animals that talk, trolls, and so much more! Fairy tales, like tall tales, often tell about things that can't really happen. These stories often include elements of magic and mystery!

What is a Chapter Book?
