What is a
Tall Tale?
Tall tales
are stories that have been written and told through history.
They have a special kind of hero who is "larger than life." This
means they are bigger or stronger than real people, or do things
that real people can't do. Their actions are exaggerated and
outrageous. The heroes in tall tales solve problems in ways that
may be funny and hard to believe. They tell why something
happens.
