Adverbs Telling When

Adverbs can be used to tell when an action takes place.
When the action takes place effects the meaning of a
      sentence.
Adverbs give the reader more detail.
Added detail means a more interesting sentence.

Time to think!

Mom is taking us to the beach!

I'm sure you're going to quickly
put on your bathing suit and gather
all of your sand toys! What fun!

Look how adding an adverb can change everything!

Mom is taking us to the beach tomorrow!

Adding the adverb "tomorrow" makes a big difference
in the meaning of this sentence. Would you still rush
to put on your bathing suit and get your sand toys?
PROBABLY NOT!

Here are just a few adverbs that can be used in
your writing to show when an action takes place.
What an easy way to add detail to your writing!

first last next
tomorrow after soon
early always never
often now later

Keep in mind that using adverbs will make your sentences interesting. They will add detail to your writing. They will effect the meaning of your sentences.
