In Literature Circles
students talk about books they have read.

Literature Circles allow students to share
ideas and thoughts with other students.

                              Share:
                                ▪ something you liked
                                ▪ a question
                                ▪ a favorite part
                                ▪ a connection

What does a Literature Circle look like?

Your teacher might ask you to read
a chapter or section of a book.

You and your classmates would each read
that part independently.

As you read, make notes of parts you like, questions you have, something you enjoy, or a connection you can make.

After you read, share what you
               noted with your group.
I liked it when Matilda walked to the library.
I think Matilda's parents disliked Miss Honey.
Did Matilda's parents miss her after
                    they left?
Miss Honey reminds me of Miss Edmunds in
                    Bridge To Terabithia.
