Dear Editor,
I am very sorry to hear that Sweet Tooth Candy Company
is going to close. I think the factory is very important to our town.
It provides lots of jobs in our community. People need these jobs so
they can buy food and pay for their houses. I think the owner of the Sweet
Tooth Candy Company should come talk to our mayor
and try to work things out. It is important that we keep this company in our
town.
Sincerely,
Leslie Barton

Dear McDonald's,
I think smoking should not be allowed in your
restaurants. Smoking is very dangerous. It hurts lots of people in many
ways. Even if you don't smoke, you can still get sick from other
people's smoke. I don't like going into a restaurant and smelling
smoke. It makes me not want to eat the food! I don't want to smell
like smoke when I leave. I think smoking should be banned from all
restaurants.
Sincerely,
Joey Potter

Dear Principal Meyers,
My friends and I are very upset about the new
playground rules. We think the new rules are unfair
because kids need to get outside and play. We work hard in school.
We need to talk with our friends and play on the equipment.
Thirty minutes a day is not long enough especially when the weather
is nice! Do you remember when you were in school how much fun recess
was? Let us have fun too. Please don't limit our time outside.
Sincerely,
Carol Pitman

Dear Mayor,
People complain that kids are always getting into
trouble. Kids in our town don't have anywhere to go. We need to have a place
for kids to play and get together. I think a skateboard park
would solve this problem. I think a skateboard park would be a place
where kids could go and meet their friends. It would stop kids from
playing in parking lots and on the sidewalks. A fun place for kids to play
will help kids stay out of trouble.
Sincerely,
Josh Rocker
