Did You Know?

When you are writing a report or answering a
question, it is important to always stay
ON TOPIC.
Only include information that answers the
question. 
Leave out IRRELEVANT INFORMATION.

The character is telling the story. This is often used in a personal narrative. Uses the words I, we, my and me to tell the story.

  

The story is told by someone. The person telling the story uses the words he, she, it and they.


 

When we read, it is important for us to understand "who is telling the story"

Carefully read each paragraph below and decide what point of view the author is using. Click on your choice below each question.

                    

 

When I saw the sun come out, I immediately ran to my room and put on my bathing suit. I couldn't wait to go swimming in my new pool!
