So the Wolf made a meal of the boy’s sheep.
When the boy complained that no one came to help, the wise
man said, “A liar will not be believed, even when he speaks the
truth.”

There once was a young boy who tended his
sheep at the foot of a mountain near a dark forest.
He was very lonely for him all day, so he thought of a plan
to get a little company.

He
rushed down towards the village calling out “Wolf, Wolf,” and
the villagers came to meet him.

Shortly
after the boy’s trick, the wolf actually did come out of the
forest. The boy cried
out “Wolf, Wolf!” But
this time no one came. The
villagers had been fooled twice and didn’t believe the boy.

So
the next day, the boy tried the same trick and once again, the
villagers came to help him.
