1.  With a partner, do a picture walk of Pink and Say by Patricia Polacco.  As you walk through the story, talk about where you would be if you were a character in the story.

     Would you share buttermilk biscuits with Moe Moe Bay?

                 Would you hide in the root cellar with Pink and Say?

2.  Choose a scene and tell Why you chose this scene.

                        Where you are standing in the scene.

                        Why you put yourself there.

                        What you would say and do in that scene.

Use the form to help you answer the questions. Be sure you give a detailed response for each question.

3. Share with your partner the scene you chose and why.

4.  Draw the scene.  Be sure to include all the characters including yourself.  Try to add as many details from the story as you can.
