Adding "ed" to words to
show the past tense

   ...will be easy if you remember:
*add
ed to words that end with a          consonant
*add
d if the word ends with an e
*if the word ends with a y, change the y to an
i, then add ed

Remember:

Words with an "ed" ending mean the action happened in the past. The word can end with a sound like  "d", "ed" or "id" ,
or even "
t".
