The setting of a story is where and when the story takes place. 

It can take place anywhere:

at a lake
lake with ducks and crocodile
in school
teacher with kids
in outer space
alien on planet in outer space

or any time:

in the past
covered wagon

in the future
medium with crystal ball and 2 customers
during the day

Let's listen to some stories and decide what the setting is.  Click on the forward arrow to have the story read to you.  Then look at the pictures and decide which picture best shows the setting of the story.  Click on that picture to see if you are correct.
