There are many
ways to share a book you have read with others. |
 |

|
You have just finished
reading a book,
and your teacher wants
you to share
the book with the class.
How will you do that?
|
 |

|
There are many
ways, in addition to writing a report,
to share a book you've read. |
|
Write a play.

Write a script for one
scene or one chapter of the book.
Invite some friends to help you perform the play.
(Imagine you and your friends taking the roles of Harry, Ron, and
Hermione as
they meet for the first
time aboard the Hogwart's Express in Harry Potter
and
the Sorcerer's Stone.)
|
|
Dress like

a
character from the book.
Wearing a calico dress
and a yellow bonnet, you could
address your classmates as Sarah. (Sarah,
Plain, and Tall)
As Sarah you might tell your classmates about your
former life in Maine and how
different things are for you now.
Invite your classmates to ask
you questions.
|
|
Read Your
Report Aloud.

As a new twist to a book report, read your report to
your classmates.
If you want to keep the interest
of your classmates, practice reading the
report with
expression. Make the book come alive, so that others will want
to read it
too. (A report on The Witches could be read with the Grand
High
Witch's accent.)
