Are you involved in a
Literature Circle
or a
Book Club?

If you are reading a book with a group of classmates,
there are effective ways to guide your reading and then discuss what you read with your group.

To begin, each person in your group will
take on one of the following roles:

                          Questioner
                          Passage Picker
                          Summarizer
                          Word Wizard

What is the role of the Questioner?

Your job is to develop a list of 4 or 5 questions that your group
might want to discuss about this part of the book.

Don’t ask questions about small details.

Help people talk over the big ideas.
