     Try the following activity:

  1.  Click on this link         
     http://www.encyclopedia.com/

  2.  In the box that says "Enter Keyword(s)",  type 
      Iroquois Confederacy.  Now click on the word
      "Search".

  3.  Open the article "Iroquois Confederacy"
       from
The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition

  4.
  Scroll down to the heading : "Iroquois
       Confederacy -The Iroquois Today".

  5.  Read this article.

   6.  Now answer these questions.

         How many Iroquois Indians lived in the
                   United States in 1990?

            How many Mohawk Indians lived in Canada? 
                                                                                                  

            When did the Oneidas build a casino near
