A pronoun is a word that takes the
place of a noun.

Some pronouns are:

he, she, they, I, it

 

Bob likes to play baseball.  He has a game tomorrow.
  He is a pronoun.  He takes the place of Bob.

 

Mary is my friend.  She came to my party.  
                                                     She is a pronoun She takes the place of Mary.

 

 Sam and Julie rode on the bus.  They have a secret!
  They is a pronoun.  They takes the place of Sam and Julie.

 

My name is Sarah.  I  have a teddy bear.  
                                                   I is a pronoun.  I takes the place of Sarah.

 

The pizza smells great.  It tastes good too!
 

 

It is a pronoun.  It takes the place of pizza.
