We often use our classroom population to solve number problems.  In this way the students can become the manipulatives in problem solving and thereby bring more meaning to the problem solving.  We can solve classroom number problems in many ways.  One way is to use a graph.  The graph below shows the lunch choices of a class of  15 children.
