Adding Numbers
With Regrouping

When adding numbers   ALWAYS   line up place value columns.        tens        ones

               47 + 25 =

Then add each column     starting with the               ones      then....tens

+1
  4 7
+ 2 5
   7 2

 

Let's look at another example.

                                                  68 + 15 =

                             so,   68 +  15 =  83
