Classifying Objects

What does it mean to
classify objects?

When you classify objects, you are grouping them together for one reason or another.

Here are some questions you could ask yourself when deciding why certain objects were grouped together.

	Are the objects all the same color?
	Are the objects the same shape?
	Are the objects the same size?
	Are the objects the same object?
	Are these objects the same in more than one way?

All of these objects are the same color.

	All of these objects are the same color and they are all food.
	All of these objects are the same color, size, and shape.
	How are these objects alike? Remember to to ask yourself the questions.
