Use a Number Line to find which number is greater than or less than. > <
On the number line, 30 comes before 55. That means that 30 < 55. Or, 55 > 30.
Example 1:
Which number is greater, 67 or 73 ?
Find the numbers on the number line.
Since 67 comes before 73 on the number line, 67 < 73
or... 73 > 67
Compare these numbers: 41 and 37 ?
Since 37 comes before 41 on the number line,
37 < 41
Remember:
A number line can be used to find the greater number.
