You can use base-ten blocks to order numbers.
Ordering numbers to 10,000.
Compare the value of the blocks in each place value position from left to right. Keep comparing until they are different.
There are the same number of hundreds.
3 is less than 7 So, 239 is the least number.
4 is less than 6 So, 276 is the greatest number.
In order from least to greatest: 239 ; 274 ; 276
Example
You can use a base-ten blocks to order numbers. Order the numbers 481, 473, 477 from greatest to least.
Numbers
8 is greater than 7 So, 481 is the greatest number.
3 is less than 7 So, 473 is the least number.
