Volume is the amount of space an object takes up.

The volume of a space figure is the number of
cubic units the figure contains.

You can count the cubes to find the volume of a space figure.
	1 cubic unit
	2 cubic units

Find the cubic measure of each figure by counting the cubes.

Example One:

By counting the cubes you can see that there are 4 cubes.

Volume= 4 cubic units

Find the cubic measure of each figure by counting the cubes.

Example Two:

By counting the cubes you can see that there are 8 cubes.

Volume= 8 cubic units
