Sometimes it is easier to solve a problem
with the help of a friend.

You can help each other by writing
down ideas that you both have.

You can then work through the
        problem together.

Patrice and Justine are counting pencils.

  Patrice puts down 3 pencils.

  Justine puts down 4.

They count the total number of pencils and know that
they have  a total of 7 pencils.

Mike and Tom are playing a game and they want to get 5 of
  their friends to join them.

Mike asks 3 friends to play.

Tom needs to ask 2 friends.
