with the help of a friend. 

Answer the following questions.


 

  
   You are getting ready for dinner and you want to
   make sure there are enough chairs at the table for
   your family.

   You need 6 chairs.
  
   Your sister gets 4 chairs.
  
   How many chairs do you still need? 

 


   Now your family is having pizza for dinner.
   There are 14 slices in the pizza.
  

  

   There are 6 people in your family.
   You each have 2 slices. 
  

   Your brother wants to eat the rest of the pizza.
   How many extra slices can he have?

 


   Billy and Kate are saving for a soccer ball. 
   They need $20.
  
  
   Kate has saved $11.
     
  
   How much does Billy have to save?
 
 


   Sara and Amanda each have 4 bags of marbles with
   5 marbles in each.  How many marbles do they have
   altogether?

                
 


   Jesse and Pamela filled egg cartons with decorated
   eggs.  A dozen eggs fits into each carton.  They
   filled 5 cartons.  How many decorated eggs did
   they have?
