Practice
Topic Index | Grade 3 Math | Elementary Test Prep | StudyZone

Numbers are made up of digits in the same way that words are made up of letters.

By joining together the value of those digits we can compose numbers.

Compose each of these numbers, then click on the down arrow
to check your answer.

1.  2,000 + 700 + 50 + 4

2.  3,000 + 400 + 10 + 6

3.  4,000 + 300 + 20 + 7

Try these problems!

Use the clues to solve the problem.  Write the number on your own paper, then click on the down arrow to check your answer.

1.  My ones digit is 7.  My tens digit is 2 plus my ones digit.  My
hundreds digit is 4 less than my tens digit.  My thousands
digit is 3 less than my hundreds digit.  What number am I?

2.  My ones digit and my thousands digit are the same.  My tens
digit is 4.  My hundreds digit is 5 more than 4.  My ones digit
     is 3 + 3.  What number am I?

3.  My ones digit is 7.  Add 2 to my ones digit to get my tens
digit. Subtract 3 from my tens digit to get my hundreds
digit. Subtract 3 from my hundreds digit to get my
thousands  digit. What number am I?
