Look around you.
You can see math in many of the things you see and do everyday.

7:00 A.M.

You wake up in the morning
and look at your clock.
It’s 7:00 A.M.
School starts at 8:45 A.M.
You realize that you have
1 hour and 45 minutes
to get ready.

8:45 A.M.

At breakfast Mom gives you $1.50 for lunch.
You ask if you can have $.35 more to buy ice cream.
You count your money and see that you now have $1.85.

At school your teacher reminds you that you have a book report due on Friday. You are on page 122 and there are 184 pages in your book.
You realize you have to read 62 more pages.

During gym class you run around the track 3 times. Since it is a 400 meter track, you ran 1200 meters.
Good for you!!

After school you have a baseball game.
Your team is trailing with a score of 7 - 6 in the bottom of the last inning.  You hit a home run and 3 runners score.
You win the game 9-7.
Way to go !!
