Graphs can be used to help explain an answer to a problem.


Use the graphs to explain each problem.

To cut back on costs,
the school cafeteria has decided not to serve grilled cheese sandwiches and hot dogs. 
Based on the information in the graph, explain why they chose those 2 items.

The girls scouts wanted to order flowers for their mothers for Mother's Day.
They surveyed the mothers to see what flower each mother liked.
They want to order just one kind of flower and decided to order roses.

Explain why they chose to order
this flower.

Riley School was planning a pet show.  They decided to limit the
type of pets in the show to the
top 4 most popular pets. 
They decided to include cats, guinea pigs, fish, and dogs.
Why did they choose these 4 pets?
