Sometimes you can prove an answer is correct by trying many examples.

Choose the equation that will help prove each statement.

  1. Adding 2 even numbers will give an
answer that is an even answer.

3 + 6 = 9

4 + 6 = 10

  2.  Multiplying an odd number and an even
number will give an answer that is an
       even number.

3 x 3 = 9

3 x 2 = 6

  3.  Multiplying 2 odd numbers will give an
answer that is an odd number.

1 x 5 = 5

1 x 6 = 6

  4.  Adding 2 odd number will give an
answer that is an even number.

2 + 4 = 6

3 + 5 = 8

  5.  Adding 1 odd number and 1 even
number will give an answer that is an
       odd number.

3 + 4 = 7

2 + 4 = 6
