If you can imagine that each coin (except the penny) have a certain number of legs, than you can count money.
Each leg is worth five cents. For example, a dime is worth ten cents. You would count a dime by touching the first leg and say "five" and touch the second leg and say "ten"
When counting money you begin with the coin of greatest value. For example:
The value of these coins together is thirty-six cents. (36¢ or $.36)
