Knowing Addition  Patterns
                                            can help you find the sum.

Let's Remember:
The numbers you add together are called the Addends,
And the answer you get is 
the SUM.

 

  Examples:

                                Input Adding Machine
        Input          +                        =        Output

5              + 

8

4              + 

7

3             +

6

In order to get the answers we got in the Output,
the Input Machine must be +3

This would be an example of a 
                  +3 Adding Pattern because                                

5 + 3= 8         4 + 3= 7         3 + 3= 6
          


  Input Adding Machine
Input         +                       =       Output

2              + 

9

5              + 

12

8             + 

15

In order to get the answers we got in the Output here,
the Input Machine must be +7

This would be an example of a 
                  +7 Adding Pattern because                                

2 + 7= 9         5 + 7= 12         8 + 7= 15
