Sprocket Works: United States Timeline An exciting and informative resource for using timelines to display important events and eras in the United States' past, is an interactive timeline called History of the United States. It is available at sprocketworks.com. When using this site, students will drag the mouse across a timeline which moves them from 1773 to 1997. As they progress, Presidents of the United States, and important events throughout the history of the United States are pictured. Students may stop and click on any of the presidents or events. Sprocketworks will then take students to a page, or several pages, of information about that event. Some of these pages have sound.
